What Is Microblading?
Microblading is an art and science of beauty. With precision and creativity, your artist will craft a customized eyebrow “tattoo” that lasts from 18-30 months. In other words, say goodbye to the 20 minutes in your mirror trying to even out your eyebrows!
Wakeup with brows, swim with brows, feel beautiful and put together 24/7 with brows!
Is Microblading Right For Me?
Contrary to what you may think, microblading is not for everyone and actually there are very few perfect candidates for microblading. An artist who tells you otherwise is probably more concerned about making money, than about creating long lasting and beautiful results.
Jenn will connect with you before your appointment for a brief consultation if needed to decide which is the best option for you. We want to make sure that microblading is going to work well with your skin type, cosmetic history, and ideal brow shape. This is your investment, your artist is here to make sure that you invest wisely.
What Brow Service IS Right For Me?
Depending on what style you like best, it’s now time to decide what service is correct for you.
Microblading Only: A semi-permanent manual tattoo technique that mimics the look of fuller yet natural-looking brows with realistic hair-like strokes - done using a sterile manual blade depositing pigment into the broken skin. This is typically best for clients with sparse brows who want fullness. This is best for clients with normal to dry skin, as oily skin with large pores can heal with thick, blurry, faded, and/or blended-together strokes
Fusion/Hybrid Brows: Works on all skin types, existing full brows, or sparse brows, can fix asymmetrical brows or missing gaps of hair. Can be as natural or as soft as client desires
Powder/Ombre: Best for those with combo/oily skin but works on every skin type. Great for clients who want a precise dramatic brow, but also can be designed for clients with a natural look in mind.
Nano: For those who wishes to achieve the microbladed strokes but were not candidates; nano strokes are created with machine by an extra fine needle to create the finest realistic hair strokes. Less invasive and traumatic to the skin compared to microblading.
What Is Microblading
Microblading is an advanced brow technique that uses a superfine row of needles to deposit pigments into the skin to create thin, hair-like strokes. Microblading is ideal for creating a very full and realistic looking brow, it is becoming an increasingly popular method in permanent makeup. Microblading is best suited for those with dry to normal skin, naturally fuller eyebrows, and those who still want to apply makeup to their brows as microblading heals very natural.
Nano brows are done with a machine – some artists call this treatment digital hair stroke brows. The machine features an extremely fine needle, which vibrates and pierces the skin, depositing pigments in tiny dots that add up to strokes. The needle is flexible and thin, so it causes very little trauma to the skin.
I Have Combination / Oily Skin, Can I Still Get Microblading?
Yes! Oilier skin is usually a concern when you have larger pores or textured skin on the brow and forehead area. If this is the case, then it is definitely recommended to start off with an ombré style brow, or at least a combination brow, as the microblading alone is likely to fade away on this skin type.
If your skin can get oily in the T-zone, but does not have large pores or is not textured, then microblading is just fine! You also always have the option of adding shading (whether to do a combo brow or an ombre brow) when you come back in for your touch up! You're also not tied to whatever service you chose at the time of booking, we'll do a full consult and decide together what's best for you!
Brow mapping - we use specific measuring techniques to maximize the symmetry and finalize the perfect shape suiting each face. We do not begin until you are fully confident with the shape we have drawn on! Brow Daddy Permablend pigments that heal true to color, as well as the best products offered in the Permanent Makeup world. All materials used during each and every appointment are 100% sterile and disposable.
These services can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years, depending on your skin type and color, age, lifestyle, and your following of the before and after care instructions.
Permanent Makeup brows are ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the natural look of their eyebrows, with hair-like strokes, or a soft powdery makeup look.
People suffering from alopecia, chemotherapy, trichotillomania or any other conditions that cause hair loss benefit greatly from Microblading and Ombré fusion brows, as well as those who simply aren’t happy with their sparse, thin or uneven eyebrows!
Do Any Of The Brow Procedures Hurt?
Abby uses two types of topical antiseptic numbing creams prior to and during your procedure to ensure that the experience is as comfortable and painless as possible. Of course pain tolerances vary person to person and with that in mind, Abby will take the absolute most care to assess your numbness and comfort level throughout the session.
How Long Will The Microblading Procedure Last?
While the inks Abby uses are semi-permanent, you can expect the ink to fade gradually. Once the pigment has faded about 50% (usually around 1-1 & 1/2 years) it is recommended to come in for a touch up.
How Many Brow Procedure Sessions Are Needed?
For optimal results, two sessions are needed with a 6-10 week window between the two appointments. At the touch up appointment we will assess the color retention, shape and make adjustments as necessary.
Do I Need To Know Anything Before I Book?
Absolutely! If you haven’t already please read the list of contraindications that prevent you from getting the service, and please send Abby a list of medications you are taking if any.
Can Anyone Have Permanent Makeup?

Can I Book It If I Have Old Eyebrows From Another Artist?
Abby doesn’t take many clients from other artists for Microblading, most have to be covered up by doing a fusion/hybrid brow or powder brow, and results are never promised due to the factor of scar tissue. To find out what you are a candidate for, text our business line three photos of your current brows with no makeup in them. These photos need to be taken in natural light using your front camera (not selfies camera) taken by someone else is preferred. Side profile of brow, right profile of brow, front profile for symmetry close enough to the brows but not too close we can’t see the shape.
Do The Treatments Cause Scarring?
It can if done multiple times over the same area without ample time in between sessions. This is why Abby only allows for 2 sessions of microblading in one year. The inital and second session together will not cause scarring. If done every 6 months, your brows may scar. It is up to the client to decide if they would take the risk to continue microblading. After the two sessions of microblading, you must wait until the pigment fades 90% before coming in again or powder may be done. The brow artist will give the best recommendation to the client.
How Often Do I Come Back?
Abby recommends for a client to come back at least after 1 year and before 4 years from the initial touch up. Refreshes can be done every year, every two years, or every 3 years. After 4 years or if the brow is completely faded, client is subject to first session pricing. Refresh prices remain steady regardless of when the client comes back and how much pigment is on the brow. Please email @winxbeautybrows.com for refresh pricing as it differs for clients based on the time of their first appointment.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I only accept cash, Zelle, Apple Cash. All card transactions will be processed by Square and requires a 6% Sales Tax.
Apple Cash payments are done via iMessage and does not allow credit card usage.

How Should I Prepare For My Procedure 1 Week Before
Drink lots of what’re prior to your appointment
No heavy exercising 24 hours prior to your appointment
No waxing, threading, tinting, henna + more 2 weeks prior to your appointment
If you have an ideal shape and color in mind, bring a few reference photos with you to your appointment on your phone. Remember once your brows are done healing after the initial session they will lighten 40-60% this is normal.
You may fill in your eyebrows as you normally would so we can take into consideration the shape you desire.
If you plan to go on a vacation, it is recommended to plan your trip a minimum of 14 days after the procedure.
We require our clients to avoid any blood thinning medication for a minimum of 72 hours prior to their appointment 1 week is preferred. This includes Vitamin E, Aspirin, Niacin, fish oil supplements, and Ibuprofen.
Do not drink any alcohol the night before and day of your appointment and any amount of caffeine you consume.
If you have been on prescription Accutane in the past, you MUST wait at least one year before considering this procedure.
It is highly recommended that you avoid SUN and TANNING BED exposure for 30 days BEFORE and AFTER your procedure. If you show up for your appointment with a new tan or a sunburn, you will need to reschedule and will forfeit your deposit. As your skin exfoliates from a sunburn, it will take the pigment with it.

The initial session:
Brows are a two step process. The first step to the process is the initial session/appointment. This appointment is to determine shape, size, and color. I prefer to keep the initial appointment very conservative being a makeup artist for as long as I have I believe less is more, and when it comes to a tattoo that is permanently on your face less is definitely more at the initial appointment. You can add to a tattoo but you absolutely can’t subtract. This first step is to see how your skin reacts, heals and how your skin holds pigment.
Step by step process
First, I have you lay down for photos before we even start talking about your brows.
We then begin to discuss your brows natural shape and your brow inspiration.
We then discuss your skin type, amount of oil production you produce, your lifestyle so we can pick what will ideally heal and age the best for you.
Then I begin to map your brows, during this time I ask to limit the amount of conversation as most people tend to have a lot of movement while speaking and my mapping method is very particular in measurements to your face. I take your face anatomy, symmetry, inspiration and how you naturally fill them in into consideration during this time.
If you have very unsymmetrical brows this will be put into consideration and we will discuss where we should remove hairs to balance your brows. I prefer that a client with highly unsymmetrical brows that we get them close enough to perfect. Most clients with unsymmetrical brows also have unsymmetrical eyes and creating a brow that is so perfect almost looks too perfect and it can throw off the balance of your face even more. I will give you my expert opinion but ultimately leave it up to you to decide how much upkeep you want.
Clients get full approval on shape, this is tattoo on your face please be picky about it, do not feel like you will offend me by not liking something. Your comfortability and satisfaction is my number one priority when shaping your brows.
The outline/mapping will appear darker and bolder than what they will look like after the procedure. This is hard outline so I know exactly where to stay within. The fronts can appear very boxy if you are getting microblading or fusion/hybrid just remember that area will spaced out strokes that mimic life like hairs. Strokes in the front will always appear longer initially than when they heal (they shorten about 30-40% when healed)
After we have your perfect shape mapped I will then take a look at your natural brow hair color and skin undertone to determine the most natural looking color for you. I will then let you ask any questions before we get started.
I will then use a topical numbing agent to numb you for 7-10 minutes prior to starting. If you are getting fusion/hybrid brows I will do the outline on the tails into the body of the brow so I have a nice crisp outline. This does not hurt, clients say it’s less uncomfortable than getting threaded or waxed, some say it feels like a baby scratch, some say it tickles everyone’s threshold of pain is different. Once the outline is done then I numb you before going any further into the procedure. If you are getting Powder/Ombré brows I do the outline and first pass of shading, this ensures a crisp outline and better color retention (this might be more uncomfortable than the other brow procedures but ensures the best color retention)
Once you are finished numbing we will continue to procedure, passes are required to get the right amount of color saturation so when healed they are even, soft, and natural. Secondary numbing is applied as needed so you continue to remain comfortable during the entire procedure.
I typically give you a peak once one brow is close to finished to calm any client jitters. It will seem like I’m doing so much that you’re going to look at your brows and they are going to be too much, showing you when close to being finished with one brow will show you that they look really soft and natural.
Once close to finishing both brows I may sit you up to check symmetry and make any changes as well as let you take a look at them
Once I am all finished you will be the first to look at them before ending the procedure.
Brows will appear bolder, darker, slightly swollen, and a little warm directly after the procedure this is totally normal.
CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU!

Clients: please refer to your email and the QR code given to you at your appointment for detailed aftercare instructions. When booking, do not book before a big event or tropical vacation. Freshly done brows cannot be touched or wet by any means until the brows scabs are gone. Plan to be healing for about 2 weeks. After your brows have healed fully at the 28 day mark, maintain your pigment retention by using sunblock on your brow area daily. Do not get botox or any facial care until 30 days after the touch up. Products that contain glycolic, lactic, AHA, and retinol acids will fade your pigment quicker. Vitamin E and Vitamin C can fade your pigment as well. If you are a blood donor, do not give blood for 6 months following your treatment. If you experience any swelling, blistering or puss, discontinue your aftercare products and contact a doctor. Also, if you experience excessive redness, tenderness, or red streaks form the brow to your heart, elevated temperature or drainage from the brow, consult a doctor as the area may be infected. *If you are not experiencing any dryness, tightness, itchiness, or discomfort around your brows through the scabbing period, applying aftercare products such as ointments or oils are not necessary as your brows will heal naturally.
***Understand that your new brows are fresh cuts. For the first couple days, you will see them get darker and thicker. Some clients experience flaking, scabbing, and itchiness in the first 2 weeks. Some clients feel nothing at all. Once this phase is over, your brows will go into a period where it will look like the strokes and shading have disappeared. usually the brow will heal itself and the pigmentation will reappear. Once the healing period is fully over (30 days) it is then when we have the touch up appointment to restroke and reshade the faded areas. Permanent Eyebrows are always a two step process. It's suggested to have your touch up 6-9 weeks after your initial appointment. Microblading can last for up to 1-2 years, but your annual touchup should be done with at least 40% retention. Ombre Powder can last up to 1-3 years, touch ups are done if 40% of retention is still there. If there is less than 40% retention, both services will be considered a new appointment.
***** If brows begin to bruise and swell, you may have an infection. Please consult your doctor ASAP.

Leave the saniderm(tape) for 2-3 hours
Wash hands before removing bandage
The first wash is the most important.
Gently lather, rinse, and repeat as much as necessary until it feels like the rest of your skin [may take several minutes]. This is removing the blood, plasma, and ointment used during the application process.
Let skin air dry for 30-60 minutes, before applying a very small amount of Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula or Aquaphor. Rub the product into the skin completely.
Continue the previous steps twice a day, for the next 3 days.
Do not reapply any type of ointment, salve, or Neosporin; this is detrimental to the healing process of your tattoo.
After 3 days, you may wash once a day and switch to applying a plain, un-colored, non-fragrant lotion up to 2 times per day. [This is more crucial if your tattoo is located at a point of flexion; such as elbows, knees, wrists, etc.]
Flaking of the tattoo is normal, this usually occurs 3-5 days after application.
DO NOTDo not soak under water for 2 weeks [baths, pools, ocean, etc.]
Do not pick or scratch flaking skin.
Do not use ointments.
Do not expose tattoo to the sun for at least 30 days including tanning beds].
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to text or email us!
